Good Friday is observed during Holy Week and commemorates the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. It is a solemn day of mourning, reflection, and remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice for humanity’s sins. Many Christians attend church services, pray, fast, or meditate on the Passion story. Traditions may include veneration of the cross and readings of the crucifixion narrative.
